C Chord on Ukulele

My students and I noticed that RIGHT after watching the video that teaches us to use our ring finger for a C chord, the color coding in the diagram in the next lesson indicates that we use our index finger. This breaks our well established one finger per fret rule and is inconsistent with what we were just taught. Could we get a blue dot on that chord? Is there a good reason for this that I don't know about? I'm cool either way - it leads to a great discussion every time.

You may not be aware but this forum has a search function. Try "finger mapping"

So what I'm reading from that search tells me that this problem is due to color choices being made by a script, not a person. Right?

Right, but also wanted to point out there are answers (not always solutions) to many questions already. If you search first, you may find an answer to your question instantly. There is often no need to post a new thread, you can add to the one already present (if needed).
