Hello, I downloaded the app on my HP laptop, for some reason when I attempt to open it it'll initialize but will not open. Anyone having the same issue or have some tips?
I've got a chromebook and more or less it's the same problem, I can't log in after writing username and the password, the app stops

So... you are going to stubbornly cling to the horrible light color scheme for piano? How tough can it be to turn on dark blue that you use in practice mode. Makes no sense.

I as well have a Chromebook and the app was working fine until this update and it will not load. I can get to the login page and login then it freezes up. I cannot figure out a way to get the older version. Can someone please help with this?

I am new to Yousician. I downloaded a few days ago the 3.0 version on my iphone and started playing level 0 (free version). Now I have all lessons/songs with gold stars (30/30). How do I move forward? I believe my syllabus is not right. I don't have a skills test option anywhere and if I want to unlock level 1 I am asked to subscribe to premium, I cannot find another way around. I also noticed watching online videos of users that somewhere after level 1 I should have the three paths option, but I don't.

Also, It would be nice to have a step-by-step manual for beginners!

Thanks!

Hi,

Ok I tried the old approached with Wine and it kind of works. It needs your Wine settings to be changed or certainly did for me. I am "shocked" to find this is an Unity application and they aren't creating a Linux version!!

Any how, this is what I did. I'll include my Linux flavor etc at the end:

Download file (it may push a DMG on Linux) https://s3.amazonaws.com/yousician-publ ... nSetup.exe

The above is the direct link and please "Yousician", can you either provide a direct link to the files or another option "Choose MAC" / "Choose PC" option?

In the terminal (this assumes you have a clean wine under ~/.wine), enter winecfg. Go to graphics settings and select virtual resolution. Enter a resolution that is similar or below your actual monitor resolution, this will allow you to move the window etc if required. This stops it overlapping on your screen, which is what happened on mine. You could always try running it first, but it grabs your mouse and I found it hard to get out.

Open the downloaded file with Wine (make sure its a clean Wine installation). It should start the installer, it stops and says it will download the c++ runtime, just say yes. Once done, assuming Wine applications appear in your menu, just click on the Yousician launcher and it it will appear.

You should be able to login as normal, sound output works fine and the microphone input from Pulse audio works out of the box for me.

Have fun!
