What is Black Friday?
Black Friday is one of the busiest shopping days of the year and most stores and online shops have special offers on products. Many online stores also have special Cyber Monday offers on the following Monday. Nowadays, Black Friday sales can last the entire week. Although Black Friday originated in the United States and is the busiest individual shopping day in the country, it has gained great popularity in many other countries as well. It is considered the beginning of the Christmas shopping season.
When is Black Friday 2024?
As the name suggests, Black Friday takes place on a Friday each year following Thanksgiving. However, the exact date of Black Friday varies. In 2024 it is the 29th of November, whereas in 2025 Black Friday will be on the 28th of November. Many stores open their doors for shoppers hunting for the best offers earlier than normal and Black Friday offers are in many cases not limited to just the actual shopping day.
