New collection: Around the World (2020 Olympics)

Yousician team 2 min read

There was some delay, but it’s finally here: The Olympics! Originally set to begin in the Summer of 2020, the Summer games kicked off on July 23, 2021 in Tokyo, Japan with a show-stopping opening ceremony as Naomi Osaka lit the Olympic flame.

The Summer Olympics are an amazing time to see the athletic prowess of countries around the world. Eager representatives from all over the globe will compete in cycling, track and field, swimming, gymnastics and more for the ultimate prize: the coveted gold medal (though silver and bronze aren’t so bad, either). Unfortunately, COVD-19 is still wreaking havoc on the games, with spectators being banned from the crowds to help stop the spread of the virus.

With this in mind, we wanted to help everyone get a taste of the Games while staying safely at home. So, we created an Olympics-themed collection, “Around the World”. Check it out now in the app and discover traditional and folk songs from the United States, Russia, France, West Africa and more!

Practicing different styles of music is extremely beneficial in developing your musical skills. It can help you find your own style and explore new ways of expression. There are so many different beats, keys and alternate tunings to explore from different regions.

The collection will be available throughout the Summer games for all Yousician users.

Wondering what the Olympics schedule looks like? Check it out here and mark your calendars for your favorite events!
