Hi Yousicians!
Starting now, our official blog is the place to go to learn more about new features added to your favorite app. As a reminder, do note that more information about Yousician and its features is available in our Help Center. This is also the place where you can get in touch with our support team by following the link at the bottom of each article.
Today, we are excited to announce the rollout of two new features in Yousician that will make your song searches even easier: enhanced song filters and the addition of song genres. Now, you can quickly search for and filter songs by genre and difficulty level, and you’ll be able to instantly identify each song’s genre when scrolling through songs in the app.
New Song Genres
Don’t recognize a song, and aren’t sure if you want to give it a shot? Now you’ll find song’s genre(s) listed next to the name and artist—so you can quickly determine if it’s a style you prefer!
Enhanced Song Filters
When searching for a song, you’ll be able to set the filters for what songs are displayed:
Song level
Choose the difficulty range of the song; whether you want the hardest, easiest, or all song levels displayed, it’s up to you!
Genre
From “classical” to “metal” to “pop”, choose from over 15 genres of music
when searching for the perfect song to learn.
Other specifications
Want to see only the shortened or Premium+ songs? Or learning guitar, and want to see which songs require a capo? This section of the filter will allow you to choose the songs that fit your instrument-specific or other more general needs.
Make sure to update your app to the most recent version (3.20) to see the new features in action. We are always happy to read your thoughts about the new features, so do feel free to reach out to our support team and share any feedback that’s on your mind.
Keep on rocking!
