What is World Music Day? World Music Day, also known as Make Music Day or Fête de la Musique, happens every year on June 21. On this day, we encourage everyone, from complete beginners to seasoned pros, to celebrate the universal language of music. Traditionally music is played outside in parks, public squares, and other public spaces.
Last year COVID-19 inspired this type of celebration even before World Music Day, with people playing music from their windows and balconies to connect with others from a distance. These musicians inspired our own celebration for World Music Day this year.
Since gathering is still difficult, we reached out to some of our favorite fans that follow us on Instagram to come together virtually. They recorded themselves playing and Jam All Day, an original song by The Yousicians, to celebrate this musical day. We’re excited to show you how it all came together!
